We spent a lovely two days on Bowen island to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. We just stayed in and enjoyed the beautiful cabin, the ocean nearby and made some great food.
These are my favourite shots of Millie’s 8th month here in this world.
We have been up to lots this past month but mainly - teething (Millie got her her first top tooth with three more on their way). Millie likes to stay very close and be held a lot so I don’t get much house cleaning done or anything really. As I write this she is crawling at my feet, “pick me up mommy…the world revolves around me…remember!” And she is mostly right, my world does revolve around her. While her separation anxiety has increased, she is actually very adventurous at play groups. She often leaves my side to say hello to everyone and try to get smiles wherever she can. She has now figured out that she can make people laugh. Just recently she has started to give raspberries, a skill she learned from mommy and daddy. It is hilarious.
She has gotten really good at standing on her own, I think we are going to see some first steps this next month. We are having lots of fun with new words like dada. I’m not sure yet if she realizes that she is saying dada, but every time I make the sign for dada she says ‘dada’ and looks to the door like when he comes home. Amelia also loves to read books and is really good at turning the pages on her own. There is so much more but the pictures will have to speak for themselves because Millie and Laundry (my other needy baby) are calling.
We were very fortunate to be able to visit Windsor over the Holidays. Millie was able to meet here Great Grandma Rousseau and visit many of her Aunties and Uncles, Great Aunts and Uncles as well as her Grandparents. We had an awesome time, wish we could have stayed longer. Here are a few pictures of our time home.
